Day One of the Rest of My Life

I have no idea what I am doing, but I am happy. This state of mind is way better than the previous 50 years when I thought I knew what I was doing, but I wasn’t happy.

I want to share this transformation, but first, let’s catch up quickly, and if you stay tuned, it will all make sense later.

We moved. I no longer work. My children no longer live at home. My health is not so great. (Seriously, name a body part and I will tell you of its decline. That is, unless you specifically ask about my fat cells… in which case, they have inclined, but that is another matter.) God is good, all the time – and I know that is not new. What is new is my more focused recognition and gratitude for that fact.

Please come back and check in on me. I am promising myself a minimum of 2 posts a week. Topics may include faith, health, marriage, sharks, horses, ponies, dogs, and other random ponderings of a content half-a-century-year-old woman.
